The ideal candidate would have a track record of successfully working with cross functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where they developed differentiated market leading products.
In this position you will:
- Be responsible for the development of innovative machine designs and testing. New machine designs should incorporate differentiated concepts and technologies with opportunities for patent protection
- Ensure projects follow the New Product Development (NPD) process while looking for opportunities to improve the process and speed to market. Ensure project requirements are identified, cross functional concept and design reviews are completed, and products are thoroughly tested and validated prior to product launch.
- Lead and promote analysis led design activities such as FEA and motor sizing tools to enable increased efficiency in decision making earlier in the development process.
- Hire, train, develop, mentor, and evaluate direct reports. Ensure that new hire training is developed and implemented, in addition to training within the department for continuous development to improve the overall engineering department. Document, plan and deliver meaningful and timely performance reviews as well as feedback throughout the year.

Bachelors or master’s degree in an engineering field.
Minimum of 8+ years of progressive leadership experience with 5+ years managing an engineering team in a manufacturing environment.
