TSMA to promote DIDO at World's Largest Shooting Sport Event
TSMA to Promote Dream It. Do it.
at World’s Largest Shooting Sport Event!
With nearly 8,000 student athletes competing, along with 20,000+ spectators, the MN State High School League Trap Shooting Championship is the largest shooting event in the world. Again this year, TSMA and Dream It. Do It. are teaming up to sponsor this unique event and get the word out about manufacturing careers!
Scheduled from June 10-18, 2019, in Alexandria, the event provides a unique opportunity to impact youth and perhaps more importantly - their parents. The nature of a trap shooting competition involves a DIFFERENT audience (a new set of shooters and spectators) every day of the competition.
Dream It. Do it. has signed on as a Platinum sponsor, which includes a 20’ x 20’ exhibit space throughout the 9-day event. TSMA has agreed to confirm and coordinate “booth staffing.” Both entities are engaged in planning an interactive exhibit space that draws people into the booth, creates a favorable impression of manufacturing as a career option, and promotes Dream It. Do It. brand recognition.
Calling all volunteers! Already, several TSMA member companies have offered to help staff the booth – but more volunteers are needed. We offer morning (8am – Noon) and afternoon (Noon – 4:30pm) shifts, which means we need to fill 18 shifts. Ideally, we hope to confirm two volunteers for each shift. Talking points will be provided ahead of time, along with instructions on how to demonstrate the interactive equipment that will be on display. (Don’t worry – no technical expertise needed!) Contact the TSMA office to inquire about signing up for a shift or two. Also of note – your company may have someone on staff whose child will compete at the event. If so, consider asking that parent to work a shift.
Request for “cool” equipment or activities. Several ideas are in the works to create a booth that draws attention and leaves an impression, but again – we could use your help! If your company is in possession of a piece of equipment or technology that might be a good fit, give Sandy Kashmark a call to discuss at 800.654.5773.
